Clark's Elioak Farm-A Great Place to Visit or for a Children's Birthday Party in Maryland

Clark's Elioak Farm-A Great Place to Visit or for a Children's Birthday Party in Maryland

My daughter was invited to Clark's Elioak Farm for a birthday party last week.  We have been there many times before for pre-school field trips and children's birthday parties.  It's one of my daughter's favorite places to go.

Upon entering Clark's Farm, I am transported to my own childhood.  As a kid, we often were lucky enough to go to The Enchanted Forest, a wonderful land full of storybook characters and mechanical rides.  I can remember driving antique cars and riding in Mother Goose boats, and peering through the windows of the home of the three bears or the one room school house.   Many pieces have been transferred from the original Enchanted Forest in Ellicott City, MD.  They have been lovingly restored and are on display throughout the farm.

The barnyard and petting zoo is a great place to be. After feeding the goats, petting the horses and donkeys, the kids and parents can go into the petting area for an up close look and touch including angora bunnies, goats, chickens and roosters.

There is a tractor ride through the Enchanted Woods.  The kids are sure to be on the lookout for the 22 faces that are hidden among the trees.  Depending on the season there may be a pumpkin patch to explore or an Easter egg hunt,

Another of Syd's favorite things is the Pony rides, avaiable for a small extra fee and are available whenever the farm is open.

While you are at the farm, don't forget to get your grass-fed beef and lamb, cheeses and butter. See 2011 pricing here.
