Customer Appreciation Events

Wow, things have been hectic!  Have barely had time to sleep, much less to post.  I am the queen of burning the candle at both ends, have been for years!

We are blessed to have about 90% referral business, so business is good, and seems to be getting better.  We find that when you take good care of your clients, they remember you when their friends and family need help too.

We had a great event on Saturday night at O'Lordan's Irish Pub in Westminster, MD.  My sister Kim plays in Third Wish, and since they were playing in Westminster I thought it would be a good idea to see if our primary appraisers, Denise and Roger Kindrick of ALL-STAR APPRAISERS would be available to meet us that night.   (If you are looking for an honest appraiser who does great work, call them at 410-871-2268)

My brother has been working with them for many years, and I talk to them several times a week, but I have never met them in person.  Denise said that they would love to join us, and she would call her parents (who's loan we did) and her friends Tommy and Michelle (who's loan we did) to see if they would be available.  Unfortunately Mom and Dad weren't available, but it gave me an idea.  I called the folks in the general vacinity and invited them to join us for an impromptu customer appreciation night of great music and friendly conversation.  I didn't start calling folks until Thursday night for Saturday night.  We had about 15 of 25 customers in that area join us.  It was great!  Everyone enjoyed the band, made new friends and we even had some folks that asked what we were all doing together...they are now potential clients.

What a fun way to thank your customers, and make new friends!

What have you done lately?

Warm Regards,

I've yet to start this Bridget as part of my way of saying thanks.  Just finished my second year, so I'm building my SOI as we speak.  Sounds like you had a fun time!

Hi Christopher, Yes, it was great!!

You said you are building your SOI.  Just a thought... after being an elementary school teacher for so long, have you added your other teachers (co-workers), your administrators (school, county and state?), cafeteria workers, parents of your kids? Your place of worship? Your gym?  If you haven't, send them a letter letting them know you changed careers and add them to your mailing list. Start thinking about your career, I bet you'll be surprised at how many people you know! You never know, some of those kids you taught may even be getting ready to purchase, or at least know someone who will!  Also, a friend of mine sponsors events at local schools...reading programs, "I was caught doing something good" programs, etc.   We haven't started doing that yet, but I believe, like you, it starts with family!  We are also planning on doing educational seminars at our local churches.  All my best!
