Summer's Almost Over But Don't Cry the Blues, Hear Them Tonight!....

Things to do in Catonsville, MDFREDERICK ROAD FRIDAYS, last one this season tonight....Things to do in Catonsville, MD

Labor Day Weekend is Summer's Last Gasp!  If you aren't heading "down de O'Shun Hon" start your Labor Day weekend off right here in Catonsville at the corner of Frederick Road and Egges Lane, you won't be able to miss the crowd!  Be sure to bring a lawn chair or a blanket.

Tonight, September 2, 2011, 6:30-8:30 PM Music City, Maryland is hosting BLUE STREAK at Frederick Road Friday's.

According to their bio Blue Streak is:

Based in the northern Baltimore suburbs, with members scattered all around the beltway, the BlueStreak Band has been entertaining audiences all over from DC to Delaware. Relative newcomers to the mid-Atlantic blues scene, BlueStreak has been playing together since 2007, and more recently has explored additional genres and added more original content to their shows.

This is a free, family friendly event sponsored by the Catonsville Chamber of Commerce and lots of the local businesses.   I bet you will find someone you know in the Jennings Cafe Beer Garden.  It's a great place for a meet and greet!!

Be sure to be on the lookout for Mortgage Mama and the lovely Ellie McIntire and her young prince.  Drew will probably be cutting a rug with Sydney the Mortgage Princess.  Smile pretty cause Papa Razzi will be there too!  If you mention that you saw this post when you see Mortgage Mama or Ellie McIntire-Snowden tonight you will be entered into a drawing for a special prize!

Pack a picnic or even better, before or after the concert stop in a grab a bite at one of Catonsville's fine restaurants, there are tons to choose from.  There's Italian, Mexican, Seafood, American, Thai.  There must be at least 10 restaurants  in all price ranges, within a short walk from the concert venue.

While you are downtown, be sure to stop in to Objects Found.  You never know what treasures you'll find!

Before you head home be sure to stop for a treat at Friendly's, I Scream, or  head to Edmonson Avenue and grab an Ice Cream or Snow Ball at Opies.

Summer's Almost Over But Don't Cry The Blues!
