December's Seasons Of Celebrations and Sharing-Christmas Lights in and near Catonsville, Maryland

Christmas Lights in and near Catonsville, Maryland

There are so many great places to see Christmas lights in and around Catonsville, Maryland.

There are some places that are so over the top they become annual traditions just for the spectacle.  Baltimore's own Miracle on 34th Street in Hampden, Maryland is like that for our family.  If you are in the area and haven't been to this special Baltimore neighborhood at Christmastime, you haven't experienced the most Christmassy of Christmas Baltimore neighborhoods, Hon!

You can check out more about 34th street on Margaret Rome's Blog:  Baltimore's Miracle on 34th Street  http://activerain.com/blogsview/2657924/baltimore-s-miracle-on-34th-street-

The Symphony of Lights is a lovely way to spend some time oohing and ahhing over 70 larger than life light creations while driving through Merriweather Post Pavillion.  All proceeds benefit Howard County General Hospital.  You can check out more at Ellie McIntire's Blog http://activerain.com/blogsview/2656385/december-s-season-of-celebrations-sharing-symphony-of-lights-in-columbia-maryland

Take a ride down to Sandy Point State Park for Lights on the Bay, a two mile drive through that benefits Anne Arundel Medical Center.  Check out more info at Andrea Bedard's blog http://activerain.com/blogsview/2662664/december-s-season-of-celebrations-sharing-holiday-festival-of-lights

We love to just drive around town to see how the locals do it...if you ask me, they do it just right!

No matter where you go, there are folks spreading the Christmas cheer.  Some, like the one's pictured here are simple and elegant.  Many are over the top with every color, every blow-up, every cut out, everything they can fit on their lawns.   There are no shortage of homes to check out.  I just love driving around my town this time of year!

Most of the light festivals are available through January 1st. I bet some of the neighbors will still have the lights up into March or April!  Ahhh, no matter, it's CHRISTMAS!!

Merry Christmas.  A special thanks to all the neighbors who take the time to LIGHT up the night with Christmas Cheer!  And thanks to Papa Razzi for letting me share his pictures!  Check out more at his site www.babybluesproductions.com

That last one looks great. I blogged about one spectular display in our area. I will share the picture here.

This is just one small part of the display. There's also a covered cart with a moving train and music.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
