MARYLAND SUNFLOWER FIELD IN THE RAIN
On Saturday I called my 92 year old Aunt and asked if she was up for a drive that didn't end in a Doctor's appointment. She was. Sydney and I went to pick her up, we headed North of Towson, Maryland to Jarretsville Pike and Hess Avenue to catch the sunflowers in bloom. Papa Razzi had already been in the field for hours. The rain was on the way, but I think it just made for more beauty!
Eventually the rain came down but Syd and her daddy just decided to do a little singing in the rain!

Hi Bridget,
What a beautiful story! Your photos are incredible! I just know you made your aunt very happy and it shows on these pictures. This is a day you will aways remember and you couldn't have picked a better place to spend the day with this incredible woman in your life.
You are thoughtful and kind. I wish more people were like you.
Again, this is a beautiful human interest story and the photos are gorgeous!!! What an inspiration!
I think these are all classic shots. I did the same thing with my wife one year.
Awesome pictures Bridget! You are right .. the dark rain clouds didn't only make for an interesting back drop but also made the sunflowers just burst with color.
Sounds like you all had a great day. Singing in the rain is the best signing there is!
What a sweet memory you all made that day and with gorgeous photos as a bonus! The contrast from sunflower to sky is really striking. Thanks for sharing and making me smile tonight!

Bridget...What fantastic pictures and what an awesome day with your family. I have to ask...did you get your Aunt to get out by the sunflowers? What an incredible lifetime memory!!!!
Such a busy lady and always finding time to make other people feel so special. Awesome photos and I love the dark sky. Gotta take a ride out to see these sunflowers!

I have driven by that field many times, it's lovely and a great place to stop and enjoy the scenery. Thanksl for sharing.
The sunflower keeps turning its head as it follows the progress of the sun across the sky, and when the sun hides behind the horizon, the sunflower’s head droops sadly, and ponders the profound issues of life....
