Google Chrome Is Putting Ad Links In My Blog!

When writing on ActiveRain using Google Chrome I noticed that there were words that were hyper-linked as I typed.  These were not links that I had created.

I am not terribly technical and at first I didn't think anything of it.

UNTIL.....I realized that competitor's advertisements were being linked in MY blog without my permission.

How do I Get Rid of HyperLinks in google Chrome

Sure seemed like a dirty trick.  My words, my business, my life was being STOLEN!

I put a stop to that!

I found an article on Wikipedia about these hyperlinks and found that there was an easy fix.

  1. Go to the icon below the x on the upper right hand side of the screen to:                                                    Customize and control Google Chrome.
  2. Scroll down to SETTINGS
  3. On the left hand menu go to EXTENSIONS
  4. UN-Check ENABLE on all

VOILA!!  You Thieving S.O.B's...It's time for you to STOP Hijacking My LIFE!

How do I get rid of hyperlinks on Google Chrome

That's a good reason to not use Chrome. I have only just transitioned to Firefox and that is bad enough!

That's a very odd little thing to do to your clients. Sometimes when it's computer automated the results aren't quite what are intended. Thank you for the heads up!
