What Do You Expect From Your Lender?

Although I can't participate in this survey...I am not a realtor/broker, I thought I would share this with folks, 1000 points and a shot at an IPAD.  Good Luck!

I strive to exceed the expectations of my realtor partners. I sure hope that if I am not that they would let me know so I can take care of any issues personally!

What do you expect from your lender?  What would make you open to considering a new lender on your approved list?

What Do You Expect From Your Lender?

We all know that we'd like our lender to be responsive, give great service to our clients and be able to close the loan on time. Ask any agent that's been in the business for a few years, and they will tell you these are a few of the things they value in their lender. But what exactly is expected of a loan officer in order to meet an agent's expectations?

Do you expect your lender to respond immediately? Do you think 'being responsive' means that they respond within 24 hours? No doubt, agent's definition of 'responsive' is going to very from agent to agent.

In this survey, we'd love you to share with us your exact expectations of your loan officer. In an effort to go beyond the obvious qualities that you find desirable in your lender, we'd love to learn some of the specifics of what you expect from that trusted partner that's helped build your business.

Anyone who has found an amazing loan officer would be quick to tell you how valuable they have been for their business. We'd love some insight on what that person means to you exactly.

When I have a buyer going through the loan process with a lender... I think it is a huge mistake to simply send them to the lender.  Actually, for the most part, I go through the process with the buyers, AND with the Lender.  If there is lack of communication going on... I want to know about it the first time it happens... and NOT when the deal is falling apart.

It is not the Lender's job to do my job for me.  And MY job, is follow-up... and enough of it, as each deal requires, to get the sale closed and funded.

Bridget:  I saw this survey opportunity too.  And although I believe the process behind this survey to be very worthy, I am a little sad that once again AR has chosen to focus pretty much solely on the agents.  I have asked that we Lenders (and non-agents) get an opportunity to do a survey very similar in the future.  We'll see what happens with my request.  And I'll be interested in the results of this survey, I must admit ... who can't learn??
