I Was Writing Something BRILLIANT!

I Was Writing Something BRILLIANT!

I was writing a brilliant blog post about mortgages and real estate in Maryland this evening and almost ready to publish it when I got the low battery wanring on my computer.  It said I had nine minutes left.  Unfortunately, in my haste to leave the office to get home to read  to my daughter before bed (We are reading a chapter of the Secret Garden each night), I left my laptop charger at the office.

UGH!

Nine minutes...Ok, I can do this...All of a sudden it was 7 minutes and just as soon as that warning came up, the screen went blank!

AARRRGGGHHHHH!

So here I am, on my husband's computer lamenting my lost brilliance.

All I can do now, since I am trying to get to bed by 10 (ISH)  is share a few photos of my beautiful Sydney at Longwood Gardens with her dad (PAPA RAZZI) this past weekend.  We were there back in January for the Christmas display.  The new display is the Orchid Extravaganza!

She used Dad's camera with the wide angle lens (his lightest) and took some great shots.  She also offered to take group shots, with their own cameras, of folks who were taking pictures of the rest of their group, allowing the photograper to be in the picture.

She even got to horn in on an engagement shoot.  The couple and their photographer were very kind!  We wish them all the best on their July 4th, 2013 wedding!

Ahhh, she is truly the best of Papa Razzi and Mortgage Mama...I sure do love that kid!  You can view more of her gallery at www.babybluesproductions.com.  It's a work in progress, I think there are still more photos to be uploaded.   You can find some of Syd's photos, as well as Dad's photos of her taking photos in the Family Gallery.   While you are there, feel free to take some time to check out my husband's other work.

I'd say she's got a pretty good eye!

Hopefully when I can plug in I won't have lost all my brillance and I can share my post about Maryland Mortgages and Real Estate another day!

That is beyond frustrating. I had several really good posts go by the wayside when AR had issues and lost the whole thing. You get so frustrated you wind up never reposting or if you cave its never as good as the original. Sorry to hear that happened to you

Bridget:  When that happens to me, I immediately save the post to "draft" just in case the battery dies sooner.  How very aggravating.

As far as if what you were writing was BRILLIANT... I would say that all of your posts are brilliant, but some are more brilliant than others... LOL.

Always save in draft several times along the way when you are in the middle of brilliant. (Speaking from the experience of lost blogs LOL)

That's ok.  I'm sure that you will get your flash of brilliance back at some point.  Great photos! :)

Don't you hate that? I always have my computer plugged in except when flying (and rare other occassions) since I know I don't often pay attention. I have learned the hard way to not trust what the battery warning says in terms of time. I try to save things as I go just in case.

But what a wonderful post resulted!!

You may have lost a brilliant post for a short time but look how lucky we are to share  the brilliance of your beautiful Sydney!

David, I too lost a ton of stuff during AR's growing pains.  Some posts are meant to head out to the ether! I am just hoping that I am able to recover this one!

Karen Anne, You are too kind!  Unfortunately I was writiing in Kompozer (since I can make the posts look pretty and if there is a glitch in the AR system...nope, letting it go, things are going too well with AR these days!  :).

Tammy,  When I am directly in ActiveRain, I learned to save in draft the hard way too!

Ki,  Ahh, but those flashes are so few and far between....or maybe it wasn't as great as I thought...The world will never know!  Glad you liked the photos!  Shameless plug for my amazing kid and incredibly talented husband!

Mark,  I always enjoy my own brillance!  It was just that I was so ready for bed and now it is an hour later and I am still up.  Oh well, sleep will come!  Here's to lots more inspiration!!

Jeff, Apparently keeping the computer plugged in drains the battery and shortens the life...that's what I hear anyway.  I think it's time to get a backup battery and a backup charger!!  Thanks for your kind words!

Margaret, She amazes me every day!  It's hard not to write about her in every post.  I have been blessed beyond measure.  I will let her know that Miss Margaret thinks she is brilliant!  It will make her day!

By the way Margaret, aren't you shooting for bed by 10 too?  :)

This happened to me yesterday.  I had 2 minutes and was getting the plug and then...gone.  Now I make sure I'm either plugged in or have my plug close by.

I'm sure it was just as great as you thought Bridget but look at what you came up with instead.. a post about your beautiful child happy as can be. What could possibly be more brilliant?
