First Time Home Buyer Grants and Loans in Maryland

First Time Home Buyer Grants and Loans in MD

Did you know that there are special loans and grants available based on who you work for?

The program is called:

House Keys For Employees (HK4E).

The companies are not all huge corporations, city governments and universities as you might expect.  There are small and mid-size companies including hair salons, locksmiths, tire companies, bakeries and more!  Each company/organization will have their own rules that will apply to the availability of funds, so be sure to check with your human resources department to see what they have available.

The really great thing is that you may be able to stack what your employer offers with other grants and loans offered by the state of Maryland!  You may be able to purchase sooner than you ever thought possible!

To see if your company or organization is participating check out the Partner Employers list on the Maryland Mortgage Program Website.

Corridor Mortgage Group is proud to be a participating lender with the Maryland Mortgage Program (previously known as CDA).  Let me know if you would like to see what funds may be available to you for the purchase of your new home!

Guess what else?

You may not have to be a first time buyer in Maryland!

Veterans may be able to get a one time waiver.  If you are not a vet but you are purchasing in several targeted areas, you may still be eligible even if it's not your first trip to the rodeo!

To check to see if your income makes you eligible for a Maryland Mortgage Program loan, check out the chart here.

Please note, for these programs, most will look at the total household income for everyone over 18 in the home, NOT just the income of the person(s) on the mortgage.  For mortgage qualifying purposes, the lender will only evaluate the credit, income and assets of the borrower (and any non-resident co-borrower as the loan type and guidelines would dictate)

If your employer is not already participating in the MMP HK4E, they may be interested! A desire to retain and attract long-term employees, and an application is all it takes to get an employer signed up for the HK4E program.

Please support the employers who are willing to invest in their employees and in their community!

Warm Regards,

Sounds like a lot of opportunites for first time home buyers and let's not forget OWNING is cheaper than renting in most markets now.

This is indeed a great loan program.  I had a client use this last month and they were able to get into their home for just $1000 of their own money.  Fabulous!!
